Cleveland Park Neighborhood Association 10th Anniversary Recognized

Greetings to Cleveland Park Neighborhood Association

on the Occasion of its 10th Anniversary

To Cleveland Park Neighborhood Association Chair, Ben Jordan, Chair emeritus, Sam McCullough, other CPNA officers both past and present, Metro officials, fellow clergy and neighbors and distinguished guests:
Greetings from the village of Harlem in the city of New York!
I am unable to be with you in person to celebrate Cleveland Park Neighborhood Association’s 10th anniversary But I want to take this opportunity to commend you for the outstanding progress you have made.
I watch and read news of Cleveland Park's progress with great pleasure when seeing the improvements to both the tangible and intangible ingredients that create a high quality of life in a community.
Towel & Basin is honored to have helped with the birth and development of CPNA. And today, I am pleased to announce we want to continue support of Cleveland Park through a technology assistance grant (including a domain name, web site, hosting). This web presence, along with email and the Google Group, will hopefully be another tool to enhance civic dialogue and citizenship.
Now as we begin a second decade, I want to encourage you to not grow weary in doing good. Keep working and walking together. Keep your eyes on the prize of building a beloved community where everyone…
young and old,
black and white,
rich and poor
can experience...
safety and security,
clean streets and cultural stimulation,
and access to quality food, goods and services.
And when setbacks come, as they will, don't get down or give up. Joy will come in the morning. Good shall triumph over evil.
So keep serving one another and striving for the common good to ensure that no one is looked over or left out.
Warmest regards
David M. Best, President
